What is the “Engagement” Conversion Action?
The engagement conversion action is a built-in feature in Nelio A/B Testing that measures whether a visitor meaningfully interacts with your tested page.
When is a visitor considered “engaged”?
A visitor is automatically marked as engaged if any one of the following conditions is met:
- Time on page – They stay on the page for at least 10 seconds.
- Scrolling – They scroll down at least 50% of the page length.
- Clicking – They click on any element on the page (links, buttons, images, etc.).
Note that the engagement action uses fixed rules (10 seconds, 50% scroll, or any click), but you can set up Click, Scroll and Time on Page action events if you want more specific tracking.
