Is Nelio A/B Testing compatible with page builders for WordPress?

Nelio A/B Testing is integrated with Gutenberg, the official WordPress block editor. If you create your content using blocks, you will be able to test everything without problems.

Furthermore, we have found (and many of our users are using it) that Nelio A/B Testing works well with visual page builders like Elementor, OptimizePress, SiteOrigin and Visual Composer, as well as with most other builders on the market.

However, depending on your specific setup, you may need to adjust our plugin to suit certain quirks of your builder. For example, some builders generate additional elements such as CSS style variants that might not work with the way our plugin is implemented by default.

If you experience any of these issues, you can try installing one of the following hooks on your WordPress site (for example, by adding a custom plugin).

If you are using Elementor:

add_filter( 'nab_use_control_id_in_elementor_alternative', '__return_false' );

which uses the nab_use_control_id_in_elementor_alternative filter and resolves some styling and content issues you may experience with Elementor.

For the rest of visual page builders:

add_filter( 'nab_use_control_id_in_alternative', '__return_false' );

which uses the nab_use_control_id_in_alternative filter and resolves some content and style issues found in certain page builders.

Our recommendation is that you first install and try the free version of Nelio A/B Testing. If you think you’ve found an incompatibility issue, please let us know and we’ll check it out for you.
