If I Deactivate or Delete Nelio A/B Testing, Do I Lose Any Data?

No. Deactivating Nelio A/B Testing doesn’t delete your tests or results by default. When you deactivate the plugin, you can choose whether to keep its data or permanently remove it from your WordPress database.

What Happens When I Deactivate the Plugin?

When you click Deactivate on the WordPress Plugins screen, Nelio A/B Testing displays a dialog with two options:

If you try to deactivate Nelio A/B Testing, the plugin will ask you what you want to do: keep the information your created with Nelio Testing or clean it from your Database.

Deactivate the Plugin Temporarily

Choose this option if you plan to use Nelio A/B Testing again.

The plugin will be deactivated, but all your tests, results, and other Nelio A/B Testing data will remain in your WordPress database. If you reactivate the plugin later, this information will still be available.

Delete Nelio A/B Testing Data and Deactivate the Plugin

Choose this option if you no longer plan to use Nelio A/B Testing and want to remove its data from your site.

Nelio A/B Testing will permanently delete the data it created in your WordPress database and then deactivate the plugin.

Warning: This operation is permanent and can’t be undone.

After the cleanup, you can safely delete the plugin from your WordPress installation.

Important: Deleting the plugin’s data or uninstalling Nelio A/B Testing doesn’t cancel your subscription. If you have an active subscription that you no longer need, you must cancel it separately.

What Happens on WordPress Multisite?

If Nelio A/B Testing is Network Activated on a WordPress Multisite installation, the cleanup dialog doesn’t appear when you deactivate the plugin at the network level.

To remove Nelio A/B Testing data from an individual site:

  1. Activate the plugin individually on that subsite.
  2. Deactivate it from the subsite’s Plugins screen.
  3. Choose the option to permanently delete Nelio A/B Testing data.

Repeat this process for each subsite whose data you want to remove.

Can I Delete the Plugin and Keep My Data?

Yes. If you simply want to stop using Nelio A/B Testing temporarily, choose the option to keep your data when deactivating the plugin.

Your tests and results will remain in the WordPress database and will be available again if you reinstall or reactivate Nelio A/B Testing.
