How to Export Test Results

Nelio A/B Testing lets you export the results of both A/B tests and heatmap tests in CSV format. Before downloading the file, you can choose which data to include and how the results should be organized.

How to Export the Results

  1. Go to the Tests page.
  2. Find the test whose results you want to export, hover over its name, and click View Results.
  3. In the Results panel on the right side of the page, click Export Results.
  4. Configure the data you want to include in the CSV file.
  5. Click Download CSV.

Customize the Data You Export

The Export Results dialog lets you decide exactly what information should be included in the CSV file.

Depending on the test, you can configure:

  • Alternatives – Select which variants you want to include in the exported results.
  • Goals – Choose which conversion goals should be included.
  • Organization – Choose how the exported results should be organized. You can group the results first by Goal and then by Variant, or first by Variant and then by Goal.
  • Unique Results – Choose whether duplicate events should be removed from the exported results.

For example, if your test contains several variants and conversion goals, you can export all of them or select only the ones you’re interested in analyzing.

The Group results by and Then by selectors determine the order in which the exported data is organized. If you group the results by Goal, they will then be organized by Variant within each goal. If you group them by Variant, they will instead be organized by Goal within each variant.

Once you’ve configured the export, click Download CSV to download the file.
