Is It Possible to Edit a Running Test?

Yes. You can edit a running test, but you first need to temporarily Pause it.

How to edit a running test

1. Pause the test to unlock the test editor.
2. Make your changes, such as:
   • Variant content
   • Conversion actions
   • Rules of existing segments
   • Test settings (within the allowed limits)
3. Resume the test to continue tracking using the updated setup.

What you cannot change

Even when a test is paused, you cannot:

• Add or remove variants
• Add or remove conversion goals
• Add or remove segments

Once a test has started, these elements are part of its structure and can no longer be added or removed. You can modify the rules of an existing segment, but you can’t change the number of segments once the test has started.
