Nelio Popup makes it easy to trigger popups when a visitor clicks on an element on your site. Add more interactivity to your pages with this feature.
Using Click Trigger
The mouse action trigger lets you display your popup based on clicks on elements of your site. When the visitor lands on a page and clicks on an element you set in the settings, it triggers the popup.
When you are ready to use the click trigger, follow these steps:
- Go to Nelio Popups » All Popups and edit the one you want.
- In the editor sidebar, go to the Settings panel, and open the Triggers tab.
- Add or modify a trigger by selecting ‘Mouse action’.

By default, the trigger is set up to open a popup when a visitor clicks an element. But you must set the element of your page whose click will trigger the popup open. Note that you need to type a valid CSS selector.
After that, save the popup and then it will open when the visitor clicks on the element.
