All the information you need in one place

Why are some users unable to schedule social messages?

In some exceptional cases, it may happen that some of your users do not have access to social profiles and/or cannot schedule social messages. If this is your case, open your browser’s developer tools and look at the console, are there any errors?

If you see an error message with status code 401 Unauthorized or 403 Forbidden, it may happen that your site is experiencing an issue with your transients.

What are transients?

Nelio Content uses transients (similar to cookies but stored in your WordPress database instead of your browser) to store time-sensitive information in your WordPress database. For example, one of those transients prevents your server from authenticating your user’s requests on our cloud on each page load, therefore reduce your load times.

If you are experiencing any of the errors above it could be an issue with your transients and you’ll have to remove any expired transients.

Delete transients

You can manage and delete transients in WordPress by using the Transients Manager plugin (free). It lets you easily manage, delete, and edit your WordPress transients.

The first thing you need to do is activate and install the plugin. Upon activation, you need to go to Tools » Transients in your WordPress dashboard.

Manage transients with the Transients manager plugin

From here, you will see a list of transients stored in your WordPress database.

You can either perform a bulk delete task of your expired transients,

or delete Nelio Content transients (you can easily identify them as their name starts with nc_) individually by clicking on Delete.
