One of the best ways to connect with your audience and drive more traffic to your web is by sharing your blog content on social network periodically. Luckily, you don’t need to share new content always—you can also (re-)share old posts, assuming their content might still be interesting to your readers.
To promote old content, just edit an old post and go to the Social Media box. There, you can easily add new social messages:
Another option is to use Nelio’s Editorial Calendar. Just add a new social message and select an old post:
As you can see in the previous option, there’s a link for Sharing old post… If you click on it, the following selector will appear:
Select an old post and you’re done!
If you’re using Nelio Content Premium which includes Social Automations, then Nelio Content can automatically reshare your old content without your doing anything. If you’re not already using them, simply upgrade to the premium plan with social automations and enable auto reshare in one or more profiles. After a few hours, you’ll see how Nelio Content automatically fills all your calendar with multiple social messages, effectively repurposing your blog posts:
Tip: If you don’t want certain posts to be automatically reshared, just exclude them from Nelio Content’s Auto Reshare. Just enable the checkbox Exclude this content from automatic resharing on social media in the Social Media box whilst editing a certain post:
Moreover, on the Analytics page, we not only show you the statistics of how well your publications are performing. You also have the option to see, in the Social Queue, the messages already sent and those scheduled for each of the posts.
To promote them again, just click on the Add Message button.
