How do I connect my Slack account with Nelio Content?
If you want to automatically share your content on Slack using Nelio Content, you can do so by connecting your Slack account and selecting the appropriate channels where the Nelio Content Bot will have access. This guide will walk you through the process.
To connect Slack with Nelio Content, go to the Settings » Social Profiles tab of Nelio Content and click on the Slack icon.

Once you select the Slack icon, a dialog box will appear asking you to log in with your Slack account. Once logged in, select the workspace where you want to add the bot using the selector in the top-right corner:

Note that you must be the workspace owner to add the Nelio Content bot to a Slack workspace. Otherwise, the window will show you the message in the previous picture.
After selecting the appropriate workspace, click on continue and grant the necessary permissions to authorize the bot:

After authorizing the bot, Nelio Content will list all the text channels in your workspace where the bot has permission to post messages:

Choose the channel where you’d like Nelio Content to publish your messages. And if the one you want to connect does not appear, make sure that you are connected in Slack with the proper account that has permissions to manage that channel.
Once you select the channel and press the button to Connect, the dialog will close and you will see in the list of connected social profiles that it also includes the channel you just connected as a new profile.
With the channel connected, messages will be sent by the Nelio Content Bot to the selected Slack channel.
Troubleshooting
- I can’t see my workspace or channels: Make sure you are using the correct Slack account. Otherwise, log out of Slack and log in with another account.
- The bot isn’t posting: Check that the bot has permission to send messages in the selected channel.
- Want to switch channels? Disconnect the current profile and add it again, choosing a different channel.
