As in the previous posts, the main goal of this series is twofold. On the one hand, we wanted to analyze the percentage of the fastest-growing companies that use WordPress in their websites and, on the other hand, to provide you with examples of websites that may inspire you to design or redesign yours (and split testing them).
In particular we wanted to compare the percentage of the use of WordPress by the fastest-growing companies to the percentage of the use of WordPress by the top 10 million websites.
Note that according to W3Techs, almost 25% of the top 10 million websites are in WordPress.
However, just considering the fastest-growing companies reported by the Inc. 5000 magazine, the percentage of companies that use WordPress in their website is higher: more than 40% of fastest-growing companies of the US use WordPress.

We were interested in knowing if this percentage was homogeneous among the different industries. Taking into account the number of companies reported in the Inc. 5000 list,

In this post, it’s the turn to the Engineering companies. Therefore, we’ll show the figures and websites of the fastest-growing engineering companies according to Inc. 5000.
Engineering Industry
From the 5,000 companies listed in The 2014 Inc. 5000 List, 66 companies correspond to the Engineering Industry. This represents the 1.3% of all the companies.

What about the usage of WordPress? Is it a 24%?
Well, in this case, the numbers again are not so different as other industries from Inc. 5000. The results are impressive: more than 42% of Engineering companies listed here are in WordPress!
In fact, the total number of companies is 28.
