Since 4.2, we’ve focused on making Nelio Content fit more naturally into the tools and workflows you already use.
Nelio Content 4.3 is a big step in that direction: it introduces Webhooks support to connect your publishing flow to external systems, adds video posting to Facebook Pages, expands custom placeholders for popular WordPress plugins, and gives developers a new set of analytics filters and actions to customize (or even replace) the data sources behind your reports. As always, we’ve also included a handful of reliability and compatibility improvements under the hood.
Connect Nelio Content to anything with Webhooks
Publishing often triggers a chain reaction: notifying a team, syncing a CRM, logging a campaign, kicking off a review workflow, or pinging an automation tool. With Webhooks support, Nelio Content can now become the starting point for those flows. When you share a social message, you can configure Nelio Content to send a request to a webhook URL and control all the essentials: HTTP method, headers, and request body.
The body can be sent as JSON or Form data, which makes it easy to integrate with a wide range of services—from automation platforms to custom endpoints. And because webhooks support the same placeholder system you already use in social messages, you can inject values from the post being shared directly into any field. That means you can send structured payloads that include the post title, URL, author, excerpt, categories, custom data, or anything else you already have available via placeholders—without writing glue code.

In practice, this turns “schedule a social message” into “schedule a social message and automatically update everything else that needs to know,” while keeping the configuration close to where editorial work actually happens.
Share videos to Facebook Pages, too
Many of you asked for this, and it’s finally here: Nelio Content can now post videos to Facebook Pages. If your strategy includes native video—product demos, announcements, short clips, or interviews—you can schedule it from the same place you plan the rest of your social content. It fits right alongside the video workflows you already use on other networks (like Instagram), so your calendar stays unified and your team doesn’t have to jump between tools to publish different media types.

Smarter placeholders for the plugins you already use
Placeholders are one of the fastest ways to scale social publishing without sacrificing relevance, especially when your site content isn’t “just posts.” In 4.3, Nelio Content adds default placeholders for popular WordPress plugins, and they show up automatically when those plugins are active on your site. That means templates can become much more specific and useful, without extra setup.

If you run an online store, WooCommerce placeholders like {custom:product_name}, {custom:product_description}, or {custom:product_price} help you generate product-focused messages that read naturally. If you promote events, The Events Calendar placeholders such as {custom:event_venue} or {custom:event_organizer} make it easy to include the details people care about most. And if your site revolves around courses or digital products, we’ve added placeholders for LearnDash and Easy Digital Downloads as well. We’ve also included placeholders for Yoast SEO, so your social templates can pull from the SEO fields you already maintain—helping keep messaging aligned with the metadata you’ve crafted for search.
The end result is less manual editing, more consistent messaging, and templates that actually reflect the content type you’re sharing.

Nelio Content
I’m so happy about Nelio Content that I will sound like a payed advocate… but here’s why you’ll love it: it works as promised, its auto-scheduling feature is top-notch, Nelio’s value for money is unmatched, and the support team feels like your own.

Analytics that developers can truly extend
Nelio Content analytics are most useful when they match how your organization measures performance. In 4.3, we’re opening the door wider for developers with new filters and actions that let you customize the metrics and values Nelio Content displays. We’ve added filters such as nelio_content_engagement_metrics, nelio_content_pageview_metrics, nelio_content_engagement_values, and nelio_content_post_statistics, along with actions that run before and after statistics are updated (nelio_content_before_update_statistics and nelio_content_after_update_statistics).
This makes it much easier to tailor analytics to your needs—whether that means adjusting what’s shown, normalizing data, injecting custom engagement definitions, or even swapping in a different data source entirely if Google Analytics 4 isn’t the right fit for a particular setup. If you build custom reporting pipelines, 4.3 gives you a cleaner, more official extension surface.
Reliability and compatibility improvements
Alongside the headline features, 4.3 includes several stability and polish updates.
We limited the scope of settings errors to reduce the chance that issues from other plugins can trigger rendering problems in Nelio Content settings. We improved the createSocialMessage function, enhanced ICS content validation in the external calendar REST controller, and cleaned up JavaScript warnings related to deprecated WordPress features.
We also fixed query conditions on reshares by filtering empty taxonomy values, which helps avoid edge-case glitches when content has incomplete taxonomy data.
How this release helps your team
With 4.3, Nelio Content becomes more connected, more expressive, and more adaptable. Webhooks let your publishing actions ripple through the rest of your stack automatically, while Facebook Page video support keeps your calendar as the single source of truth for multimedia campaigns.
New plugin-aware placeholders make templates feel tailor-made for products, events, courses, and digital downloads, and Yoast SEO placeholders help keep your social copy aligned with the metadata you’ve already curated.
For technical teams, the expanded analytics hooks provide a real foundation for customization—whether you’re tweaking metrics or integrating an entirely different reporting source—so the insights your team sees match the way your business actually measures success.
Getting started
Update to Nelio Content 4.3. If you want to integrate with external tools, look for the new Webhook channel when configuring social sharing and build a request using JSON or Form data with placeholders from your content.
If Facebook is part of your video strategy, connect your Page (visit Settings → Social Media) and try scheduling a video directly from the calendar. And if you use WooCommerce, LearnDash, The Events Calendar, Easy Digital Downloads, or Yoast SEO, explore the new placeholders in your message templates to reduce manual edits.
Developers who customize reporting can start by hooking into the new analytics filters and actions to tailor metrics and values to their needs.
