We’ve just launched Nelio Content 3.7 with a bunch of new features and improvements. This new version allows to create and manage series of posts, pages and other custom post types. Version 3.7 also includes a simple way of define custom images to share on different social networks for the same post. And it improves the integration with Medium, among other things. Here’s everything you need to know about it.
Series
Nelio Content allows you to group your posts into collections or series. This is perfect for magazines, newspapers, short-story authors, educators, comic creators, or anyone who produces multiple posts on a similar subject. Version 3.7 makes managing your series of posts effortless, so you can focus on creating great content.
When editing a post or any other custom post type of your choice, a new Series panel appears under the Nelio Content Tools plugin in the block editor:

The existing series appear listed in this panel. You can select the series where the editing post participates and, optionally, set the part number of the post in the series to keep an order.
When editing a series, you can modify its name, slug or description. If the series has posts in it, a section called Issues appears with an ordered list of the posts that belong to the series, where you can reorder the list of posts by drag and dropping them:

Apart from organizing posts in series, Nelio Content provides ways to display the series information in the frontend of your WordPress site. This new version allows you to display a box in a single post showing metadata about the series the post belongs to:

But not only that, you can also display a box in a single post with the list of all posts belonging to the series where the post belongs to. This is perfect to help your audience easily follow and explore your serialized content:

Nelio Content 3.7 streamlines the process of organizing series without relying on additional plugins. We hope you liked it!
Custom Network Images
Each social network recommends using a different image size, so your featured image will not look the same when shared on Twitter as it does on Facebook or Instagram. A long time ago we adapted Nelio Content to share different image sizes on social media, but the solution we proposed was a little bit cumbersome if you didn’t have any experience with custom fields.
That has changed in Nelio Content 3.7 with the addition of Custom Social Images. Basically, you do not have to follow any tutorial now. There is a new panel called Custom Social Images where you just have to select the images you want Nelio Content to use when sharing messages to each social platform:

From now on, you can have different images to share in your social messages. Nelio Content will automatically take the alternative image if you selected it and create the messages automatically taking these images into account instead of the default featured image.
If you’re an image lover, you have no excuse for not using Nelio Content to automatically share your content on social networks. With this you will be able to specify an image for each social network with the size you want. Adapt your content better to the particularities of each network!

Nelio Content
I’m so happy about Nelio Content that I will sound like a payed advocate… but here’s why you’ll love it: it works as promised, its auto-scheduling feature is top-notch, Nelio’s value for money is unmatched, and the support team feels like your own.

Better integration with Medium
Nelio Content 3.6 added Medium to the list of supported platforms. Since then, our users have been able to publish their content to this social blogging platform.
At Nelio, we always listen to our users’ feedback to improve the plugin. That’s why we’ve added a new feature: you can now set the publication status of posts sent to Medium! This means you can choose to publish posts as drafts, giving you the flexibility to review and edit them directly on Medium before they go live. With this enhancement, managing your content across platforms is easier and more tailored to your workflow.

We’re excited to announce another improvement in Nelio Content! Now, when you share posts to Medium, the featured image of your WordPress post is automatically included in the content sent to the platform. This ensures that your articles not only look great but also maintain a consistent and professional appearance across both WordPress and Medium. Sharing your content has never been easier or more visually appealing!
